Relation through DNA, not evolution

Since most people understand the basics of how computers, and programs work. I will attempt to explain the relationship between all life created using computers and computer programs as examples.
Let's say that DNA is a new shoot em up computer program. DNA stands for: Damnation assimilation (Kids like scary names so I thought one up). The base core program is so good that many other programs are written from it. But the rules for not breaking any laws, so that each program can be considered a different kind. Each one had to be at least 2% different from any other written. Now lets say a million other programs are written. And because each programmer is different, the programs written are very different. Examples:
1) Expert programmers take full advantage of the base core program and write very sophisticated programing which shows how far the basic program can go even with all it's limitations. Everyone is amazed as top of the line programs are produced.
2) Good programmers write less sophisticated programs than the experts.
3) Average programmers write programs that are closer to the original one.
4) And below average programmers write programs that have very little difference from the original.
With the rules stated about the programing, plus the intelligence of the programmers. You get a bunch of programs that are similar and can be measured for similarity by the percent they are different from the original program. And because of the 2% law, this percent has to be measured and printed on each box to be legally sold as a different "kind" of program. So eventually, because there ends up being a million programs written from this one. A list is compiled showing how different each one is using the original program as the template.
But because the program is really huge in the program language area, 2 % means that several things have to be changed. And the programmers are able to do it. So now a list is compiled. So the list contains every program and compares it to the original. 98% the same means that each programmer has to write in at least 15 million changes. Little or big. So the comparison starts to look like this list.
